“Jian Nian”
The collection is inspired from a traditional decorative technique in Taiwan called 剪黏(Jian Nian). This technique requires the artist to break ceramic pieces and paste pieces together to reform a decorative structure. This technique is commonly seen on temples portraying dragons, flowers etc.
The muse of the collection is a badass girl who could be the daughter or girlfriend of a mafia boss inspired from an old mafia drama from Taiwan called "The Outsiders".
