Inspired by Korean traditional craftsmanship, 나전칠기 Najeon-chilgi , which the craftsman cuts mother of pearl in little pieces and places them on the surface of lacquered objects to form beautiful pattern with natural iridescent effect, the collection, “Butterfly and Flower”, is about love that doesn’t last long, like a butterfly staying on a flower.
The collection attempts to curve the fleeting love on clothes so that it can be memorized forever. The designer wishes the wearer can be protected as a jewelry in the well-crafted jewelry box with beautiful memory of love.
